Individual giving options

There are many ways you can support the Steele Center's mission to improve the health of children through outstanding research, teaching, and clinical care.

For more information on ways to give, call the Steele Center Development Office at (520) 626-7799 or visit The University of Arizona Foundation's Planned Giving website.

Charitable Gift Annuity
Charitable gift annuities are life income gifts: you transfer assets to the Steele Center and receive a charitable deduction for a portion of the transfer, and you or a beneficiary receives income for the rest of your life or a fixed period of time.

Bequests
Name the Steele Center in your will or trust, and you may save on estate taxes.

Endowments
Endowment Gifts make it possible to stabilize major research programs and faculty positions in areas where federal agencies do not provide the support or stability needed over an extended time. Endowed funds create a lasting legacy of support and are critical for both key positions and major programs in pediatric research. Click here to see our endowment opportunities.

Life Income Gifts
A life income gift allows you to make a significant gift to support research at the Steele Center while receiving an income for life. Benefits include state and federal tax deductions, increased income from low-yield stock, and possible avoidance of the capital gain tax on gifts of long-term appreciated property. You can also name a second income beneficiary, reduce or eliminate the estate tax on the assets given, and establish an endowed fund in perpetuity at The University of Arizona Foundation in your name or in memory or honor of another.

Planned Giving
Planned gifts are commitments made by you today but are not actually realized by the Steele Center until some future date. They range from simple agreements to complex trust arrangements. Some offer an income for life and they all provide income tax and estate tax benefits.

Gifts are made to the Steele Center through charitable gift-annuities, charitable remainder trusts, charitable lead trusts, life insurance policies and bequests through a will and other planned gifts. Please refer all questions about life income gifts to the Office of Planned Giving. At your request a personal illustration can be prepared that will detail benefits based on specific amounts and the beneficiaries' ages.
